The Elkhorn Public Schools Personnel Department aims to recruit, develop, and retain the highest quality staff to serve the needs of our students. Certified and Classified

Elkhorn Public Schools uses an online application process for all certified and classified (non-teaching) positions. Open positions are updated on a regular basis and job seekers should apply online. Advantages of an online application system include:

  • The ability to update your application when necessary
  • The ability to apply for various positions at one time
  • The application is immediately sent to the hiring authority

Certified teaching positions will also require the following documents be attached to the online application: a cover letter, a resume, three letters of recommendation, a valid teaching certificate, transcripts, and Praxis Scores.


Substitute Teachers

Elkhorn Public Schools continually accepts applications for substitute teachers. Interested candidates should complete the online application. Substitute teachers must possess a valid Nebraska teaching certification and have the following skills: knowledge of classroom instruction and supervision, ability to work with others, flexibility in job assignments, and be dependable and punctual.

Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay: $145.00 per day; $155.00 per day for long-term substitute positions (11th consecutive day in the same position)

Effective January 4, 2019, the Elkhorn Public Schools will be transitioning to a new online application system supported by TalentED Recruit and Hire. Previous applications submitted through the AppliTrack Greater Nebraska Schools Hiring Consortium will be archived for review. However, if there is a new posting for which you are eligible, you are welcome and encouraged to submit a new application.
