General Philosophy and Objectives

The mission of the district is the “Elkhorn Public Schools unites students, families, educators, and the community to ensure a challenging and enriching academic environment that inspires students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.” The objectives of the education program are to help each student develop a sound background in academic fundamentals, to assume an increasing responsibility for his/her self-development, to become aware of individual rights and differences and to learn responsible behavior as an individual and a citizen. The Board supports this mission by establishing these Instructional Policies.
