Meeting Notice and Delivery of Materials

Each member of the board shall be notified in advance of all meetings and work sessions. Public notice of such meetings shall be made according to state law and shall include the time and place of the meeting. An agenda shall accompany each board member’s notice, along with other information that pertains to the purpose of the meeting or may be of general use to the members of the board.

Reasonable advance public notice shall be given for meetings and work sessions of the board. The notice of meetings shall be transmitted to the public and a copy of the notice and agenda kept readily available for public inspection at the principal office of the district. Agenda items shall be sufficiently descriptive to give the public reasonable notice of the matters to be considered at the meeting.

The written notice of a regular meeting, prepared agenda and other supportive and informative materials will be delivered to each board member at least seventy-two (72) hours before the meeting.

The written notice of special/emergency meetings, prepared agenda and other supportive and informative materials shall be delivered to all board members at least twenty-four (24) hours before the meeting.

It shall be the responsibility of the superintendent to give public notice of board meetings and work sessions. The superintendent shall maintain a list of the news media requesting notification of meetings and shall make reasonable efforts to provide advance notification of the time, place and agenda of each meeting.
