Policy 203.05

Treasurer

The treasurer of the board shall be a board member elected by a majority vote at the annual organizational meeting and serve a one-year term of office. The treasurer shall receive, hold in custody and expend all funds as directed by the board. The treasurer shall be bonded and/or insured with such bond and/or insurance paid for by the school district. A current financial statement of district funds shall be furnished at each regular monthly meeting of the board. The treasurer shall perform other duties required by law or by the board.

If the treasurer is unable to carry out the duties required, it shall be the responsibility of the superintendent or designee to carry out the duties of the treasurer.
