Board Organizational Meeting

At the first meeting of the board on or following the first Thursday after the first Tuesday in January of each year, an organizational meeting shall be held at which all newly elected board members will assume their duties and take the oath of office. At this meeting, the board shall appoint necessary board officers and committees.

The superintendent shall assume the chair of the meeting for the purpose of electing a board president. Ballots for president may be cast in secret but the total vote for each candidate shall be recorded in the minutes.
