Fifth grade is really fun.  We work hard and enjoy learning. Eventually, we learn from our experiences.  The teachers include Mrs. Donahue and Mrs. Miller.       In science we do variables, then natural environments, after that we do mixtures and solutions (chemistry) and to wrap it up we do a unit on drugs.      In writing we'll study four famous artists. They include Norman Rockwell, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso.  In reading we'll switch off on doing novel groups and doing reading from the basal.       In social studies we do longitude and latitude, study Native Americans, and we'll learn about the 13 colonies and the history of the early United States.      In math we review long division, do algebra, learn geometry and lines, divide, multiply, and compare fractions.
