Elkhorn South High School Dedication Set for Aug. 8 at 2p.m.

The opening of ESHS will mark the first time the state of Nebraska has had a district with two Class-B high schools.  “Our goal is to duplicate the excellence that has been established at Elkhorn High School,” said ESHS Principal Mark Kalvoda.  “The promise that we made to the board and the community when this bond issue passed—create another high performing high school, with comparable opportunities as seen at EHS.” Elkhorn South High School (ESHS) will host an open house and dedication ceremony for the community on Aug. 8 from 2 - 4:00 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the new facility, enjoy refreshments and listen to the debut performance of the school’s fight song by the ESHS band.  In addition, the event will feature remarks by ESHS Principal, Mark Kalvoda and the district’s superintendent, Stephen Baker.
