A quick history lesson: We got our name, Elkhorn "Classic" Middle School in 2003 when the district built its second middle school. Rather than being called the "old" middle school, Kathy Lockhart, an 8th grade Social Studies teacher who was in her last year before retirement, coined the term "Classic" middle school. The name stuck and we have been referred to as the "Classic" middle school ever since!

....New student registration will be held July 28 & 29th at the Elkhorn Middle School between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary, you may show up and we'll help you with all the registration materials. Feel free to walk around the building during registration! Welcome to the "Classic" middle school.

....Pre-Registration for ALL students will be held on August 4 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and on August 5 from 9:00 a.m. - Noon. No appointment is necessary. Please help us achieve our best turn-out yet!!

....An orientation for all students, and their families, who have moved to Elkhorn over the summer will be held August 12th at 7:30 p.m. You can expect a brief description of what happens in a typically day and what to do/expect on the first day of school.
