Elkhorn High School Mission Statement

The mission of Elkhorn High School is to enable all students to learn at their full potential in order to function responsibly in a changing society.

From the Principal

Welcome to the Elkhorn High School Home Page!

With great anticipation, we look forward to the challenge of advancing the rich tradition of Elkhorn High School throughout this school year, where outstanding students, families and teachers have always been a part of our culture.

Our enthusiastic, dedicated and professional staff help students learn a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and confidence, which will help them grow throughout their lives. The mission of Elkhorn High School is to enable all students to learn at their full potential in order to function responsibly in a changing society. Essential elements to fulfilling this mission are supportive and caring relationships, excellence in our academic opportunities, and respect for human differences. We will consistently strive towards academic excellence by promoting a free and open exchange of ideas in an environment of mutual trust and respect.

Elkhorn High School has gained a reputation for its strong academic presence within the state and metropolitan area. We have come to expect that our standardized test scores exceed the state and national levels while over eighty-percent of our graduates continue with higher education. We strive to graduate students who are prepared to compete with college admission and job applicants from across the nation and around the world.

Our students work to succeed academically and in our various co-curricular activities. The co-curricular programs foster sportsmanship, life skills and character development. Over the years, Elkhorn High School students have won numerous state, regional, and national championships. Ultimately, extra-curricular activities help connect our students to our school culture, which supports our primary focus of learning and achievement for all students.

Opportunities continue to expand at Elkhorn High School. We hope this home page will provide the reader with relevant information pertaining to the school. If you would like to know more about the opportunities available at our school, please write or call the high school administrative office.

Sincerely,

Bary Habrock
