Elkhorn North High School opened in the fall of 2020 and serves students in grades 9-12 in the northeast section of the Elkhorn Public Schools.  Elkhorn North High School enrolled 645 students in its opening year of 2020-21, and we are anticipating around 900 students for the 2021-22 school year.    The staff and student body are dedicated to building a culture where generations of graduates can be proud of the educational and extracurricular activities that were provided to them.

Elkhorn North continues the long-standing Elkhorn tradition of excellence in academics, rigorous coursework, systemic interventions, and extracurricular activities and clubs.  Our mission is learning.  We believe that all students can learn at high levels with time and support.  Elkhorn North High School offers a variety of coursework and special programming to meet the needs of each individual student (e.g., High Ability, inclusive Special Education, and Advanced Placement).

In order for Elkhorn North High School to ensure “A Culture of Learning and Achievement,” all decision-making processes are based on the best interests of our students and their learning.   We implemented a guaranteed, viable and rigorous curriculum that meets our students’ needs while prioritizing critical thinking and reflective problem-solving.  Our curriculum encourages students to maximize their learning, challenge their thinking, and scrutinize new understandings to develop the skills they need to succeed in life.

Elkhorn North High School has high academic and behavioral expectations, and we will provide students the support required to help them meet or exceed those expectations.  We will sustain a culture focused on learning, collaboration, and results.  Our culture of continuous improvement will be driven by collective inquiry, Elkhorn Instructional Model practices, and learning-centered assessments that focus on mastery of content. We will implement impactful intervention strategies that provide students with more time and support when needed in order to ensure learning and achievement.
