ELECTION PROCEDURE 2008

The following information is provided for persons desiring to file as candidates for the Elkhorn Public Schools Board of Education. Three Board members will be elected to four year terms in November 2008 and seated in January 2009.

At the primary election held May 13, 2008, the field of candidates for the Board was narrowed to six. If you are a new resident or have changed your address since the last election, you must register to vote to participate in the general election November 4, 2008, at the Douglas County Election Commission Office 225 North 115th Street, Omaha, NE 68154, ph. 402-444-8683 or see on-line www.444vote.net.

QUALIFICATIONS: Registered voter, Resident of School District #10 (Elkhorn).

CANDIDATES: Three to be elected, terms start January 2009.
