Authorized Student Organizations and Activity Programs

The Superintendent or designee may approve and establish the following formal student organizations and activity programs that are deemed an important part of the total education program.  The approved student organizations and activity programs will include activities which a) enhance student learning related to the District goals and objectives, b) provide opportunities in areas where students have special talents and interests and c) provide opportunity for students to develop societal values such as leadership, sportsmanship and cooperation.  A list of approved student organizations and clubs shall be maintained by the building principal.

Activities offered may vary from school to school, depending on interest and enrollment. Review of programs will be conducted annually by principals, activities directors and District administrators.  Changes to the above list will be approved annually by the Board of Education.

Student Organizations

The Superintendent or designee has the discretion to approve formal student organizations, provide adequate supervision, and administer student finances for student organizations and activities.
